Hong-Hu Zhu is a professor of engineering geology and geotechnics, Deputy Director of the Human Resources Department, and Dean of the Institute of Earth Exploration & Sensing at Nanjing University, China. He holds a Ph.D. from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University.

Recognized for his contributions to smart geohazard monitoring and assessment, particularly in geo-interface behaviors, he was honored with the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars. In the past decade, he has co-authored two books, secured 21 patents, and published more than 90 papers.
