About
Dr. Ming Yang is a postdoctoral researcher at Idaho National Laboratory (INL), specializing in computational geomechanics and granular mechanics within the Energy and Environment Science and Technology (EES&T) Directorate. At INL, his research focuses on subsurface science and engineering, bioenergy technology, critical mineral processing, geothermal energy, and subsurface hydrogen storage. Previously, Dr. Yang was a postdoctoral research fellow in the Geomechanical Modeling Group at Northwestern University. He earned his Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, Canada. Prior to that, he received his M.Sc. and B.Sc. degrees from the Department of Hydraulic Engineering at Tsinghua University in 2015 and 2013, respectively.
