Dr. Weiwei Zhan is an Assistant Professor at the University of Central Florida. He is a natural hazard researcher with ten years of research experience in landslides, liquefaction, and earthquakes. Dr. Zhan utilizes both data-driven approaches (statistical modeling, machine learning, and deep learning) and physics-based methods (finite/discrete element models and multi-scale methods) to understand natural hazards and improve infrastructure resilience against multiple hazards.
